Where I've been, where I'm going (life update)

Where I’ve been, where I’m going (life update)

It’s been a little quieter on the front end of Liv Label Free. I’ve taken a complete break from the podcast, blog, social media, and haven’t sent out an email newsletter in over a month. While this may not seem like a big deal, it’s a huge sign of evolution for me – because for the past seven years, I’ve wrapped my entire identity in my work.

In this physical world, we tend to judge our growth by what we produce on the outside. For so long, I’ve defined “success” by how much I can get done. More books, more content, more downloads, more, more, more... But just as I compare the concept of “good enough” to an asymptote in How to Get Out of Quasi Recovery, defining “success” by external achievements is an endless chase.

These past two years have been some of the most challenging yet most transformative years of my life. Burnout and uncertain living circumstances have forced me to slow down, reflect, and reevaluate how I live my life – including how I run Liv Label Free.

So while I may not be showing myself as much on the surface right now, there’s an infinite amount of DEEP WORK happening on the backend. While it’s been deeply uncomfortable at times, these past few weeks specifically have given me incredible clarity and confidence on how to I WANT to move forward.

I’m not quite ready to share the full details, but what I can say is that aligned things are coming πŸ’« And my soul is already jumping up and down with excitement at the prospect of getting to share everything that’s coming next!

In the meantime, here are some things I’ve been loving/experiencing lately:

πŸ‡³πŸ‡± Meeting my past client turned colleague & best friend Julia in Delft, my new hometown! (You’ll be hearing a LOT more from Julia in the near future, which I’m sooo excited about)

πŸ„ Editing my new book on the farm first thing in the morning with coffee (highlight of my day always)

Café hopping to read & write some more! (currently reading & LOVING Already Free by Bruce Tift)

I’m taking part in the Beautifully Wired Summit running October 5-7!

This is a free virtual summit all about neurodivergent girls and women, designed specifically for mothers raising neurodivergent daughters – and mothers questioning their own neurodivergence. In my interview with the host, Greer Jones (a neurodivergent mother herself), we discuss what ACTUALLY helps autistic people recover from eating adaptations in a way that respects PDA and aligns with the unique needs of the family. You can grab your free ticket here.

If you’re still reading this, thanks so much for being here. As I navigate my own challenges, I’m constantly reminded that we are ALL on a lifelong discovery journey, and every experience is a stepping stone to becoming the most aligned version of ourselves.

Sending you SO much love,

XO Liv

P.S. I’d love to hear from you, as there’s nothing that makes my heart smile more than discovering how you found me and what about my work resonates most with you. I can’t promise I’ll respond, but if you feel so inclined, it would mean the WORLD to me to receive some personal & heartfelt responses to this personal & heartfelt update πŸ₯°πŸ’— Contact me here!
